A Sophisticate loves simplicity. She is not simple but seeks quality over quantity. A Sophisticate believes that less is more. Audrey Hepburn made something as simple and plain as the little black dress legendary and something that will probably be a staple for centuries if not forever. Why? Because it emphasized elegance in simplicity.

A Sophisticate is confident therefore, she takes a simplistic view of the world by being decisive a.k.a. viewing the world, situations, and decisions without confusion or convoluted thought including prejudices or judgments about others. A Sophisticate sees the world as black and white.

When I was 13 years old, my had me watch a TV miniseries first seen in 1977 called 'Roots' based on the book with the same title written by Alex Haley. Simply put 'Roots' changed my life forever. Why? Because it opened me up to another culture. 'Roots' awakened me to not just another culture I knew nothing about but that even though different cultures exist at the core we are all the same.

Each culture that exists in this world teaches and gives us answers to our questions and our experiences only IF we choose to listen, understand, and unlock with the key of desire to learn. Diversity doesn't exist because we are all individuals but we are all one in the same.

A Sophisticate knows that simplicity extends to people as well. There is no gray area, no classifications, no judgments EVERYONE is a human being and EVERYONE is knowledgeable, passionate, lovable, and caring in their own way.

A Sophisticate is not shallow. Her values extend to more than just the physical attributes of another person. A Sophisticate does not judge or see the outside physical appearance of a person but sees what is in their heart.

In the end, a Sophisticate is black and white because she is colorblind. ;D!
