Is it merely a safety hazard that people have not chosen to recognize? Or are they just being rude?
When there is a funeral, whether it is sunny or cloudy outside you will see people wearing sunglasses to the gravesite. If you were ever sad when the sun was shining, you know the sun is not only painful to your eyes but to your heart as well.
When you are grieving you want to be alone. Unfortunately, you have a pervading feeling that you don't want to be alone because you want to be there for the person who has just died. There is no way to escape or hide from the sadness or the tears that seem to fall faster and faster from your eyes down your face. Your sunglasses provide a way to hide your tear stained puffy eyes and allow for you to be alone with your grief but at the same time be with those you love.
When you wear sunglasses indoors it allows you to have the luxury of being alone while in a crowd. Whether you are indoors or outdoors, you can hide from people, keep other people from knowing what you are really thinking or feeling, keep that mystery of who you are alive, and look stylish all at the same time.
