"This nation will remain the land of the free so long as it is the home of the brave" Elmer Davis

Women have served in the military since the Revolutionary War. Whether it be in combat or serving as nurses, women have done their share in protecting the freedom that those in the United States hold close to their heart. On Veterans Day, it is important to remember the women who have fought and died for the United States whether it be in combat or not.

"Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present." Albert Camus

Over 1.8 million women have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Alive or dead, those women and the service that they provided to their country should be honored. Veterans Day Facts

Women in the military sacrificed no less than the men they fought beside. No one was ever honored for what they received. A Sophisticate serves her Country and becomes a hero not because she wins medals. She is a hero because she provides an example of true strength and courage. A Sophisticate exemplifies that by fighting for our most cherished gift, freedom.

Veterans Day is not what received from those who sacrificed their life, it's about  honoring what was given.

Sophistication in the 21st Century means to be strong. In the end, a Sophisticate celebrates Veterans Day not just because she is strong but because she honors the strength of the women who fought for the freedom she holds dear to her heart. ;D
