A Sophisticate Loves

“Why did you do all this for me?' he asked. 'I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.' 'You have been my friend,' replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing.”  E.B. White 'Charotte's Web'

What is love? That is the universal question that no one seems to be able to answer. When people say love comes from the heart they mean the spirit of a person. Still, the heart is an organ that pumps blood. What make the heart  of a Sophisticate pump blood faster? When you look at one person versus another what makes the difference?

An animal doesn't know the word love, can't spell the word love, so then why does an animal or anyone love? Because love is an involuntarily response, an instinct.

"True Love is the souls recognition of it's counterpoint in another" from the movie 'Wedding Crashers' (2005) (A Sophisticate finds her Soulmate).

Love is who a Sophisticate is because it makes her choices for her. Why does a Sophisticate love one person over another? Why does she choose one college over another? Why does a Sophisticate pick one animal over another when looking for a pet at shelter? Why does a mother love her baby before it is born? Because love is the recognition of oneself in another.

99% of the men out there aren't worth it. It's the 1% makes the difference.

A Sophisticate is born with an inner light that shines for her to see and know. Sadly, it is covered by insecurity, doubt, and fear.  Her flaws keep most people out. That is, until a Sophisticate accepts her imperfections (A Sophisticate is Imperfect) and opens her heart to let what is special be seen by others. (A Sophisticate is Open Minded)

"Well that's what we do, we fight... I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. So it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day." from the movie 'The Notebook' (2004)

When they say that love isn't easy it means that there cannot be love without hate. Love is like forgiveness (A Sophisticate Forgives). You love them even when you hate them. Love brings a Sophisticate to tears, it makes her frustrated, and angry. Why? Because with love there is no fear. Love is the truth spoken without fear that the relationship is going to end.

Love is when you understand a person at the very core. There is a respect built up because you are best friends (Sophisticated Love Rule #3:  Best Friends). When a Sophisticate has love in her life fights are merely growing pains where all that is painful becomes that much better after the truth is revealed.

In the end, a Sophisticate loves because she is human and born with a beating  heart. Her heart shows her who and what she loves the most and merely being herself allows her to be seen and loved in return. ;D
