"After awhile I looked in the mirror and realized after all those hurts, scars, and bruises, after all those trials I really made it through. I did it. I survived that which was supposed  to kill me, so I straightened my crown.. and walked away like a boss" Unknown

Sophisticate in the Suburbs was for me my way of letting go of all of my problems (A Sophisticate Writes a Blog). It was and still an online journal away to let my emotions and feelings or the "real me"  (Self Image of Sophisticate) be expressed. It was a way to stop hiding my feelings from people and make them public. My blog turned into my own business and eventually me be becoming the "boss" or Manager of my own Company.

What does it mean to be "the boss"? Does it mean to be a Manager? Does mean to be a Leader? Does the conversation of being a "boss" lead to the debate between the difference between a Leader and a Manger? Does being "the boss" have anything to do with working in business or a corporation or  does it have to do with the business of life?

In the chaos  life a Sophisticate will lose herself. She will be lost unable to make sense of what is around her.  If she loses her focus The loss of focus could result in the loss of control. When it get's to that point she at risk of failing to reach her objective. (A Sophisticate is a Failure).

When a Sophisticate is "the boss" she is in control she accepts reality for what it is not what she wants it to be. She is focused and is ready to assume responsibility of herself and others. A Sophisticate knows that she cannot be the boss of other people until she is the boss of herself.

What does it mean to be "the boss"?

A Sophisticate assumes responsibility when she has the right perspective. Assuming responsibility she is ready to accept the blame as well as the praise without taking it personally.  When she is the "the boss" she finds balance in her attitude. Being in control means that she is impromptu (A Sophisticate is Jazz) being tough or nice depending on the situation. She is control of her feelings, emotions, and her reactions to them.

“A bossy woman is someone who cares and commits and is a natural leader.” Amy Poehler

The key to being "the boss" and assuming control letting go. (Alan Watts - Let go of controlling everything). By being calm she let's go of her issues and is able to see everything from a  different perspective. With a neutral understanding perspective a Sophisticate stops trying to controlling the situation and lets the situation evolve. She understands the situation from all sides or “as is”.

"People ask the difference between a leader and a boss. The leader leads, and the boss drives" Theodore Roosevelt

A Sophisticate is a #GirlBoss when she decides she is going to be tough, ambitious, takes a conscious effort to control and to achieve her objective. She is specifically in the drivers seat. A Sophisticate is a #GirlBoss when the situation or circumstance demands it of her to act in that manner since she can be perceived as ruthless or seeking power for herself instead of others.

According to the Urban Dictionary "Boss" means extremely cool or something that's the best. A "trusophisticate" is true to herself because she knows deep down she is the best. In the end, a Sophisticate is boss because she let’s everything go. When she let's everything go and is her true self  she becomes the best or "the boss" ;D
