"Small business isn't for the faint of heart. It's for the brave, the patient and the persistent. It's for the overcomer." Unknown

When I was entrepreneur starting out I felt like I was drifting because couldn't navigate through the ocean of the entrepreneurial waters. When I discovered him on Twitter, the universe gave me a life raft in the form of #insidejob by Mark Sephton.

"The business of business is relationships; The business of life is human connection." Robin Sharma

The heart and soul in both of his books #insidejob and Plot Twist, can found in Mark Sephton's personal stories. It was his personal stories, especially in #insidejob, that helped me feel less alone in my journey as an entrepreneur.

“The lessons in Mark Sephton’s books go beyond "Thinking into Results" they take entrepreneurs on a journey of “Thinking towards Success.” Sophisticate in the Suburbs

With my love of using hashtags I had to investigate Mark Sephton's first book #insidejob. The stories Mark Sephton related of his own experiences were nothing short of amazing.  The information was exactly what I needed when I needed it.  The next step after "Thinking into Results” and determining my goal in life was following up on that goal.

Mark Sephton and #insidejob gave me the courage to follow up on that goal.   #insidejob is based on the premise that we are only as good as the thoughts we think professionally. An entrepreneur needs to think and utilize the most positive emotions like love and thoughts of imagination. Easy enough to say, hard to put into practice unless you read the advice and have the guidance of #insidejob. With his books and videos on Periscope, Mark Sephton soon became my professional entrepreneurial coach.

"Managing your energy is more important than boosting your energy." Michael Hyatt

According to Mark  Sephton, in #insidejob  "one of the reasons startups fail is the inability to pace themselves." He talks about ways to build up the tenacity needed for an entrepreneur to make their startup succeed.

When Mark Sephton’s second book came out Plot Twist, I immediately bought it. The books seemed to be paralleling my own life. The life of an entrepreneur does not go by without mistakes. Mark Sephton utilizes the phrase "Plot Twist" as a way to explain how an entrepreneur can turn curveballs or potential mistakes made into success.

"Your power to choose your direction of your life allows you to reinvent yourself, to change your future and to powerfully influence the rest of creation." Steven Covey

The books act a guide of personal experience to support an entrepreneur on their startup journey. There are even areas in both books where the person reading can complete their own goals and develop their own professional mission.

Both The books are not written in any sort of order. My thought that there might be a third in the series but Mark Sephton did not write them as a trilogy.

As a radio host of Talk Business on 101.5FM Radio Plus UK, Mark Sephton interviews entrepreneurs. With what he has heard during interviews plus his own experience as an entrepreneur was the impetus for both books. His motivation for writing the books was to help entrepreneurs on their journey towards success. Both #insidejob and Plot Twist act as self-help guides to support stand alone experiences that an entrepreneur may encounter.

"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued, when they can give and receive without judgement, and they can derive sustenance and strength from the relationship" Brene Brown.

The personal and professional mission of Mark Sephton is not to become famous but to share his mission and help entrepreneurs on their journey. Through his books and his guidance of professional entrepreneurial coaching with #insidejob and Plot Twist he helps to define the meaning of 21st Century. ;D
